Newbie V.I.N. Question re 46 Ford Tudor
Hi, I'm new so forgive me if this answer is known by everyone else. I've got a title for my 46 Ford Tudor in someone else's name from another state and am trying to get one in PA in my name. To do this, I need a rubbing of the V.I.N. number (I have the number itself on the title), but I can't seem to find it on the vehicle anywhere. Does anybody know where the V.I.N. number is stamped on a 46 Ford Tudor and, failing that, if it's possible to get the title without the rubbing?
Thanks a ton,
Jack

It could be in two different places. First try left front frame and second it might be on the drivers side firewall about 10" down .Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

And just to add, it's stamped into the rail, not on a separate plate as you probably are used to. So it could be buried under crud.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
