No Four Wheel Drive???

I live down a dirt road and accasionaly need 4 wheel drive in my truck. However, my NP 203 T-case will not go into four wheel drive. I have not used four wheel drive since last year and have drove it everyday since it last use. Before i got the truck the previous owner had installed a conversions kit for 2lo and 2hi and manual locking hubs. The problem is the shifter will go into 4hi and 4lo but it will not engage the transfer case.

Technically, this isnt a 4X4 forum, but i think i can help you out. I assume its a Dodge by the NP203? Can you give a bit more info?
