is it possible to put a inline pump in without removing the tank pump that has failed?
What's it gonna hurt to try it, all u'd have to do is remove the tank pump if it didn't work and it seems like it should.
That would make the inline pump have to suck the fuel through the existing pump in the tank. Would probably restrict the flow considerably. Why not just drop the tank and replace the pump it has?
Chances are, No. GM likes to mount its pumps straight up and down in the dead center of the tank. Its probably easier just to drop it.
thanks guys for the info.i wound up buying the replacement pump and dropping the tank wasnt to bad,but the pinch and pull fittings are hard to get to when your on your back.
