There are a couple choices, Mid sixties GM intermediate (Chevelle, Cutlass, Skylark, Tempest/GTO), and GM Vans up through mid '70's. The intermediates are getting harder to find, and you'll be competing with the muscle car boys. The vans are more available, but popular with rodders. Both don't have the ignition mounted to the column, so have a lot of appeal. Usually with a used column there's a need to repair something if not a total overhaul. The realities are, unless you're real good at ferreting out a deal, by the time you buy either of the used type listed, modify or fix them, you're going to be in them as deep as the two new ones you listed.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
