Just so you guys don't think I'm a Ford snob, thought I would post up a pic of customers truck being built to his design and specs. Think it used to be a 54 Chebbie Panel truck that "another shop" had started on so now I get to try to re do it so the customer likes it. Not my design, but it could end up being kewl when it's finished.
Major body mods are in progress, should be able to get going on the frame and suspension next week.

I'd like to see a couple pics. of that one when it's done. :)

If you can get some roundness in that roof line so it doesn't fight the shape of the rest of the rig it could be somethin'!!
I personaly like the stand the trucks sitting on. Gives me a good Idea how to biuld stand fer the old Ranchero. I'm always looking fer some one else's good Ideas, Sos I can use them for my self, sorry Dave I'm gonna steal your blue print fer your car stand. HE! HE! HE!

Steal away, Vara. The fixture is made from 2X4 11 ga. rectangular tubing with a 3/8" thick top. The front has an adjustable mount for locating the front crossmember for Mustang II type suspension and the rear end is open to facilitate aligning and installing the rear suspension. I have built frames on it from 104" to 128" wheelbases. The frame for my Ranchero was built on this fixture along with numerous others. Next car going on it after the Chebbie pickup will be another 49 Merc like the one in my gallery, then a 47 Plymouth coupe and a 48 Buick. I have a different fixture for deuce frames that is adjustable so I can build the frames to fit either a decue or narrow the frame locaters to build a deuce frame that fits the "A" bodies. Both work great for me.

Actually Drg, I'm trying to convince the man who owns the chebbie pickup that either a big block Ford or a Hemi would fit quite nicely in his truck!! Maybe next winter I can get going on Jackie's new toy, an 85 Vette that will have a tublular frame, Mustang II front suspension, a 9" Ford rear, and a 408 Windsor stroker motor!! Should be enough to p**** off the rest of the chebbie guys I might have missed over the years. Can hardly wait to take it to the Vette ralley in Spearfish, SD when it's done!!!! Nothing is sacred around here........
so whats wrong with ford I own one its bad ass 74 f-350 w/ 429scj passes everything but a gas station that is a cool truck your working on vara right thats a cool stand mine has those dam steel casters on it
Well I need a good stand to re-do the front end with a
mustang II front end with power steering Which is manual right now. Also need to put some disc brakes on it to. Thanks for the pictures Dave.
