67 chevelle brakes question
I have a 67 chevelle I bought off a friend. He converted the front brakes from drum to disc with a manual master cylinder. He never finished the car so the brakes were never tested. Well after many years I have finally gotten all the body work and such done and got it running and moving but now I am running into a problem with the breaks. When I first tried to drive it the front breaks would not release pressure so I replaced the calipers and lines. After much troubleshooting i replaced the master cyclinder. Was able to get the front breaks somewhat working(they were really weak) but couldn't get the back breaks to do anything. Also, When I put the new master cycilinder in I had to get adapets to get the lines to bolt in the master cylinder. The whole farthest from the firewall is smaller than the one closest to it. The problem I am now thinking is when he ran the lines he got the lines backwards. I just need some confirmation that i am right before I cut the lines and swap the fittings around.
The rear cylinder(the one closest to the firewall) with the bigger whole for a bigger fitting is the primary resivor is for the front disc breaks?
The foward bigger resivor with the smaller fitting is for the rear drum brakes?
Help would be great I I am not a big fan of cutting lines and such and want to be sure before i do it.
