Matching rotor sizes F&R

I am assembling the MII for my 53 Plydo and I already have a Ferd 9" out of the Versailles for a 4 wheel disc setup. With a 302-V8 I have 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 ton vehicle weight.

I do not have rotors and calipers for the MII yet, and am unsure of the need for an 11" GM kit or the stock 9" ferd rotor size. I will have to scavange out or buy pieces either way, the Q is wich road do I go.
The Versailles has a 10.5" rotors, do I need to match this to obtain proper proportion to favor the front. I was under the impression that the front is where you want your larger percentage of stopping power. Or can this be done through the proportioning valve running 9" ferd rotor.
I will be going manual brakes unless there are options out there that dont require an engine mounted pump that can increase my braking power(booster?). The Versailles disc setup was originally a power assist, will this be a problem going manual with a booster.
I did read a really good post @ ClubCobra but it is all for a high performance app. Where do us cruisers, not abusers find drivability. I am like young grasshopper, show me the way so I dont have to run you over to slow down.:LOL:
