have this 57 cj5 with 283 in it. Been sitting for 20 or so years when I got it. Drained gas, oil, new plugs/wires/points/carb overhaul/oil filter/fuel filter. Still when I go to start it the engine tries to catch, but just won't continue to run. I had a leak at the fuel inlet line so I cut off the fuel pump, it is electric. Will this matter? I mean the fuel bowl is full of gas before I tried to start it. any help will be apppreciated. Thanks..Paul
