Exhaust ?
I have a 82 chevy 4x4 with a 350 and most of the performance parts i can afford including cam, manifold, carb, ignition, and headers. I am wanting to get 3 inch exhaust with the flowmaster super 40s. Is this a good idea being that the super 40s are for big blocks?Git' r done

the problem with bigger exhaust and mufflers are your gonna lose some bottom end and throttle response."IT'S 106 MILES TO CHICAGO , WE GOT A FULL TANK OF GAS , HALF A PACK OF CIGARETTES, ITS DARK, AND WERE WEARING SUNGLASSES"
"HIT IT"

You can run those 40's but it doesn't really matter. It all comes down to personal preference man.www.streamlineautocare.com
If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!

Most SBC's especialy ones in trucks (lower RPM's) will be better off with 2.5" exhaust pipes on it. I've had quite a few chevy trucks with 350's and put 2.5" with flowmaster 60 series on them and was very happy with the sound/HP/torque.

A buddy of mine has 2.5" Flowmaster Delta 40 series muffs on his 67 Pickup w/ a 400sb. WOW>...the best sounding muffler out there. However the magnaflows will flow better..(just by lookin at them). However I have a 64 Impala w/ a 454. I just put on a full 3" system w/ delta 40s. Starting it tomorrow..Should be NICEBig Body Big Block
