Well since I do drive my 53 plym daily, as its my only registered driver, yeah I think its drivable with the stocker ifs. The only thing you may find a little hard to deal with is the lack of power steering, but its never bothered me since ive never owned anything with it.

If I was to replace my rearend, which ill do someday, id more than likely just use a posi mopar rear, id hate to have a chevy bolt pattern in back and mopar up front, that would mean carying two spare tires.
