I have a 1993 Chevy 1/2 truck. "Bout 125,000 on it, never replaced anything in the drive train. I'm the original owner, so I know that fer' a fact.
Sometimes, but not always, when i leave a stop light I get a clunk that I can hear and feel. It doesn't happen all the time. There doesn't seem to be play in the u-joints or pinion, Well.... my check consisted of twisin' the drive shaft back and forth a couple times). Wouldn't the problem show up all the time if it were a worn U-joint or something worn in the rear end?
I've had this same thing show up in other trucks I've owned, but always traded em'. This one I plan to keep a while longer, so I'd like to get to the bottom of this. I spoz' if i drive it long enough the problem will find me????
