My friend swapped his 292 for a 302 in his Mainline sedan. The old Motor mounts worked, simply by swapping sides. You can get a Ford water pump with the inlet on the other side if you need to. Overall sizes are compatible. Be careful that the water pump gets turned in the right direction...i.e., a serpentine system's pump spins in reverse from a standard old school pump.
