I went out and bought one of those fancy auto-darkening welding helmets about 3 weeks ago. The helmet works great---trouble is, whenever I use it I have trouble with the lens and my glasses fogging up so bad with moisture that I end up having to lift it all the time like my old cheap visor. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, what did you do about it?
I have the same problem, but if you don't pull the helmet down as far, it seems to help. And....If this makes sense..... breath down instead of at the lens.Quote:

I used to buy this spray that i used when i rode my motocross bike , and my goggles fogged up, it worked pretty nice , no fog or something like that. it was years ago , dont even know if they still make it .
dont know if that would help or not , just a thought.

I useta do a bit of scuba diving way back when I was a pup, to keep the inside of the goggles clear...spit, ( really!) But on a more practical note, and since you aint underwater, ProZ has the best idea, leave some room to breath. I noticed the newest helmets are really tight fitting, so maybe some drilled vent holes? :whacked:
