I have a 2000 3500 Chevy with a 454 and I need to get new plugs and wires for it and I was wondering if anyone here knows of any good wires and brand of plugs and wires I should get? Might be a dumb question I know but never had to get new wires for it yet and I hear stuff like Accel wires aren't great and all so wan't some oppinions.

How many miles do you have on it? Wires usually last a long time. If it's stock I would just put the factory stock wires back on it. And a set of AC/Delco plugs.
It's got over 60,000 miles on it. Don't have it here right now, the pops has it at the moment. Also the truck is also starting to drink more gas than it used to. Don't know why but I know that if you don't change things like your antifreeze then that can do it (auto tech teacher told me that) but that's not it because I flushed it out changed it, etc, etc. Any ideas on what it could be?
Me, i would go with Bosh platnium plugs if you plan to keep it for a while, and a decent set of wires. just ask the guys at the store for a good set.
But arent Bosh plugs more for German made cars like Audi and cars like that? My auto tech teacher said certain plugs work with certain cars like cars made in America and Germany, etc.

Just my two cents. but I always use genuine gm parts for my gm vehicle, I know there may be better out there ut that is what it was designed to run with...
Yeah that's what I was telling my pops to get but I think he is going with the Bosh plugs and wires too. Not sure yet. Thanks though.
