I'm going to guess it's probably a loose belt too. On many of the aftermarket AC systems the compressor cycles on and off to control the temperature. The intermittent squeal is likely when the compressor kicks back on until it comes up to speed.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
