I had the same thoughts on most of those things. The T is pretty cheap and could last but would be best to rebuild if its a quality job. The 12 bolt was overpriced for being bare...even if all I need is a posi case to put in it...and some axles...and a yoke...and some gears...soooo yup its not worth it considering you can get the new ones with the ford big end style for the larger bearings etc etc. The auto I wouldn't trust off the bat either. However, I know the Buick is much more money but its just so different it would be nice, and they are a pretty torquey thing. Thanks for da info.
