To close the loop, I ordered the lower & upper hoses for the '57 Chevy V8, the upper being the one you suggested Ken, along with a high zoot chrome Mr Gasket thermostat housing with a straight shot 45 bend to the front. With a bit of trimming the top hose is going to be fine, and it's looking like the lower is a good fit as it is, but might need just a light trim on one end. It's too darned cold to be out in the barn today!
