'32 Upper Radiator Hose

I know that I wrote it down somewhere, but it's not to be found! The '32 Roadster has a Gen 1 SBC engine. Don/DA34Guy told me that he uses a '57 Chevy lower hose and flex hose for the top. I'm not a fan of flex hoses and it seems to me that I've read here in the past that there's another OEM Chevy hose that works for the top, cut down of course but a good fit. Old friend Ken Thurm says he uses SS Tube bent to fit and a couple of short pieces of straight hose to join top & bottom - a great approach but no bender. Can anyone guide me to an OEM hose?

These are the ones I use on my 36. I cut them to fit, not sure if they'll work for you, but you could try em and take em back if they don't;

An upper radiator hose for a 66 Mustang might also work

Yeah, I've done the bent wire inventory review approach before, but with all of the SBC/Deuce builds out there it's a lot less hassle to start with a part number, especially considering the reduced inventory in a lot of the parts stores these days. "Nope, I don't have that one, but I can have it here from the warehouse for you tomorrow morning..." Sigh.... Another 20 mile round trip to the store.

Thanks Ken, but that hose has an extra 90 that I don't need plus it's about 6" short. My manifold outlet is straight up, exactly in line with the center radiator outlet. I may have to swap out the manifold outlet for a 45 degree bend to clear the air cleaner, but if the straight one works it's a hose centerline measurement of 19.5" to 20". The ideal hose would be a short 45, long center, medium 45 into the radiator, 20" long.

I'll check the numbers 36 sedan used against the Gates data, and go from there. Thanks again for the idea.

If it does I'd call ahead to make sure they have one in stock. The closest O'Reillys to me is about 2 blocks away, but I always call ahead and print out a list of what I want. Saves time with the know it by what's in the book crowd.

That one would work if I swap out the upright manifold outlet for a 45. Might be the best choice. Thanks.

To close the loop, I ordered the lower & upper hoses for the '57 Chevy V8, the upper being the one you suggested Ken, along with a high zoot chrome Mr Gasket thermostat housing with a straight shot 45 bend to the front. With a bit of trimming the top hose is going to be fine, and it's looking like the lower is a good fit as it is, but might need just a light trim on one end. It's too darned cold to be out in the barn today!
