Help with front end
I bought a new spring behind axel for my 36. I noticed it wasn't as long and I am curious if this will mount properly. I included some pics of my front end and the axel.
I appreciate any help yall can give me

Little hard to tell from the pics but looks like your spring is too wide for the mounts on the axle. Since it's Speedway axle, what does their tech department say the spring eye width should measure?

Sorry
The spring in the pic is the old spring. I have the new spring I was lost looking at how short the axle is compared to the frame and that the old axle was a little wider.

Assuming you're going fenderless you're probably okay for that, but you will need to do something about tie rod and drag link, and you could have an issue with turning radius if the narrowness allows the wheels to hit the frame rails or other components at full lock. Hard to tell again by those pics.

Like Uncle Bob says, you've got the kingpin center to center dimension plus the wheel offset dimension that sets the centerline of the tire relative to the frame and fender. If you're running fenderless (your profile says Rat Rod) you've only got the frame affecting the turn radius to worry with. The other dimension is your spring perch spread, and that needs to be coordinated to the spring to give you bounce without binding.
Welcome to CHR, BTW!

JMHO; I would send it back and get the correct axle..
And, Welcome!

Thank you everyone for your advice. I’m going to mock it up and see if I have any issues.
