ME TOO more than once. Not very exciting either.

boredom has consumed me .. i`ve always kept my neighbors golf cart functional as he cant fix his way out of a paper bag but for most of this year i was not interested in finding out why the rear end begin roaring .. at the risk of junking it anyway i decided to open up the dif and see what i could find .. inner axle bearing were disintegrated .. i`m not about to guarantee the repair but i will replace the bearings and see what gives ...pinto is in winter storage ..
I pulled the trigger on a FIREBIRD!
No details until I can dist pixels, it's getting shipped from Texas.
Couple days ago, I attempted to get the Camaro
started. It has not been driven in about a year now.
4 hours on a charger and absolutely nothing. Not
even a weak buzzer. Jump start was a Big Nada too.
I foresee a new battery over the weekend.
Today I moved some dead trucks around so I can get back working on one the owner ran out of money on a while ago. I'm trying to use this beautiful weather we have because Tuesday it goes back to reality. Actually, lower temps than November norms.
My grandson and I have been working on cleaning the garage up and trying to get the brakes to work on my Vette. The calipers keep leaking and I'm tired of replacing them with rebuilt ones that leak after a few miles. So, come this spring, it's going to get Wilwoods all the way around and that should solve the problem.
Ken, do you have the stainless sleeved/stainless piston calipers on it currently? I put those on my 68 and haven't had a problem since.
Look up SSBC, Stainless Steel Brake Corp. they were one of the pioneers of stainless sleeved brake calipers.
I'd think they'd have what you need and it'll bolt right in, make it fast and easy / cheaper? in the longrun imho..
At work, we've been stupid busy for, IDK, it seems for ever. At my location we get an Air bus. We have to have 3 loaders to unload it. They get 45min from the time the plane blocks in the gate until they have to have the mail over to the sort facility. So they really need those 3 loaders to make tender time. 3 weeks ago our biggest loader blew a hydraulic pump and put brass/metal all in the hydraulic system. The shop was already full, but now it was even worse. Then our only other loader capable of loading/unloading the top side blew the tilt cylinders. To make a long story short, we had another loader dropped off yesterday. We had to get it put together and operational to then rip apart our known dependable loader so it could be sent to Memphis.....
Sounds like fun Ryan! NOT!
Yesterday I went and picked up a 2nd hood for my 40. Then I drove around trying to get another project purchased to flip or what ever. Both the places I stopped no one was home. I left notes so we'll see what happens.
Sadly I agree. It's bad to have a car with no title, and the hassles of trying to sort past sins without losing the car; but it may be worse to have a title, now transferred to your name (you said you were off to the tag office), and no car to match the title. Here in KS they won't do the title work until the title & vehicle have been confirmed to match by the KSHP. Sounds like that's not the case in AL, and I hope you've not been burned.
I researched the company and they have excellent reviews. I do wish they communicated better though.
Also, I absolutely agree that my feedback should have been included in the shipping decision. But then, I'm getting impatient and maybe not sufficiently impartial.
Very NICE!!!
Very cool! It looks to be really solid!

Last Saturday I went down to Russell Iowa and bought a pretty decent bed for a project truck I'm hoping to sell. Then we came home and the kids and I moved stuff around to get the bed put on the beater truck. Next we pulled momma's suburban up and I started ripping out the engine and trans. Sunday I finished removing the engine and trans and I then took them and traded them for a 71 Cheyenne K10. Monday I worked on cleaning my messes up and spinning the burb around to get ready to drop a real engine in it. Too bad it snowed that afternoon and rained so far this week.

This was a Traveler Guitar that got dropped and broke in half, a little glue and paint makes em look like what they ain't. Just need to cut-buff and re-assemble, and this one is done.
Hadn't seen that brand before. Looks like Fonzie from Happy Days had a go at it.... Or maybe Pete Townsend? 8-)
Is that a "splint" you added at the neck joint for glue up? Or a hanger for paint maybe? Those 2 large cut outs really takes away the lateral body support, It must flex quite a bit while being played.
Maybe get some "tonal changes" when you flex your left wrist? As in "bend" the note pushing / pulling on the neck.. ??..??
The Traveler guitars have been around for a while, they are scaled down in size to make it easy to carry. The tuners mount in the body, kinda awkward.
That’s my paint paddle, it has a piece of conduit attached and goes into a stand in the booth, it allows me to rotate as I spray, then hangs when done. If you look close you recognize my secret aluminum 1/8” x 2” bar source, yep it’s a ruler, they’re cheaper than the same thing in bare aluminum, lol.

It arrived today.
It's a real good picture of me driving. Usually I'm not so very photogenic
And that is what I was asking about. Making out the ruler was easy. I was assuming the other end had a curl in it to loop over a hanger so your part could hang free to dry. Did you use something like a Kreg Joint to pull the bottom of the bout together. Or is is just a glue joint with no mechanical fastener(s)?
No, I'm too cheap for that. I just flatten the end of a 3/4 EMT conduit and rivet onto the aluminum then wood screw it into the neck screw holes. There's a 1/2" spacer block under the aluminum that sets it up out of the pocket so the paint can roll in a little, simple but works great..
You probably meant the body, LOL, I'm idiot. The body is wood glued and clamped, wood glue is plenty strong enough if the break fits back together well. On bad breaks I usually blind pin them.
