not sure where your headed bob . a binary protects the comp from high/low pressure . trinary does the same plus kicks on the electric fan .
I know nothing about Vintage Air but the only styles of heater control valve that I'm familiar with is either cable controlled or vacuum controlled.

Bob, the heater control valve on VA systems is an electric servo valve controlled by the rotary potentiometer switch on their control panel. I've only installed one VA system, but found their tech support guys to be very helpful. If you give them a call they will walk you through getting the system installed and working.
