Hey people....Mods, if this is in the wrong spot, feel free to move it...
Time has come to blow my A bone apart, and I was wondering if there's any order of disassembly that I should follow. Mainly, I'm concentrating on taking the body and fenders off of the frame, and since I don't have an intimate knowledge of the car, I'm just worried about doing something utterly stupid (like getting my head caved in with a fender), so any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.
Might not hurt to have some help. One guy turnin' the wrench one guy holdin' the part your taking off. To get the body off the frame you could lift it off with block & takles from the ceiling. My ceiling isn't that strong so I just jacked up the body 1 end at a time, a little at a time and used 4''x4''s long enough to clear the wheels. Keep jacking it up and cribbing up the 4''x4's till it's high enough to roll the chassis out from under the body. Then use the jack to pull the cribbing out to drop the body back down. Just take it slow get a couple friends to help, and don't put yourself in a position to get pancaked. We don't want any "I got pancaked" stories.Quote:

I should add, might want to remove doors trunk lid stuff like that to make the body as light as possible.
Get the ol' digital camera out and take pic's of everything as you disassemble it. Mark and tag anything and everything. Then, take somemore pic's.
You may think you will remember what everything is. But then again, I've got a bad case of CRS nowadays, so I need all the help I can get.

I'm all about the pictures....I'm just anxious to get some pics of the car finally going back together. If I put together all the pics I've got of the car now, and made a flip book of them....jeez, that thing would disappear by the end of the book.

Alright, random thoughts as they come to me: Do I have to think about bracing the body before I unbolt it and take it off of the frame?
