Best money I spent on Rita in awhile

For the last two years I've been fighting idling issues with Rita when the A/C is on, trying to keep the check engine light off, and alot of running ok but not great issues. I've replaced or swapped nearly everything on the motor trying to correct it including a different ECM, nothing made a difference. I finally called Excessive Autosports in Tea,SD and told him what what going on and he was pretty quick to tell me it has a bad tune in it. When you call this place my first impression is he treats you like your the only customer that he has and he cares. We drove it up there and left it with him for a couple hours and when he came into the waiting room, I kid you not, it was like talking to the doctor who just operated on your child ! He explained what was wrong and how he fixed it. Pretty much the long and short of it was the people who tuned my ECM did the ol generic tune even though they had my pickup there. He talked about how the engine will correct itself with a generic tune but it has to think a lot to get there and will re check itself from time to time to make sure it really has to adjust that much then the check engine light comes on. He told me that it was swinging 30% off of where it needed to be and he got the parameters down to 2-3% off of the base line. I seen the look on his face when he seen my old ECM and the name on it and I later asked him about that shop, he said he re tunes about 4 of them a month. It was a $450 bill which was more than expected but I'm fine with that if I'm happy with it. He said that price includes any future tweaking if we want anything a little different. We may have him adjust the shift points a bit when it's coming to a stop but other than that it runs great and has a ton more power. I Highly recommend them. ( ps Fi tech is junk and Holley Sniper is the way to go per what he explained )https://www.facebook.com/ExcessiveAutosports/

Very nice! That is who I was going to use originally. I've got friends who have used him. He was just the wrong direction for me at this time.
