Doing some of it at my house in Cahokia & some at a friends shop nearby. His shop is about 6 times larger then mine & has a lift if I need it.

My brother had a stock 39 Dodge & drove it 100 miles to & from work for about 3yrs. He said he'd get it up to about 65mph & stay in the slow lane. Never missed a beat....

Yep; I’ve had several of these Mopar flat six engines and they are quite a piece of engineering. I kind of wish I had just kept the one in my 48 Plymouth. I’d have a lot more money and less gray hair if I had.

This is reinforcing my decision to keep the flat head in the 48 Dodge!

Lately I’m perfectly happy with a stock engine in my projects; even if it’s a six. I drive pretty pokey these days.

You had me worried for a bit, I thought you were selling off the 58 utility parts. I'm anxious to see this frame splice! It looks like the tires that came with it are good to run for awhile too.

You guys have had better experiences with flat head 6 mopars than I have. The ones I've come across have usually had the rods knocking or in the worst case like the one that came in my 57 Plymouth a rod sticking out thru the side of the block.

Admittedly most had seen little maintenance in their later years and/or been slightly abused

Nice work! The cat may be worth a little at your local recycling scrap processor.
