3/8" air hose ferrule crimper

Hi all.

I'm looking for a good crimper for the ferrules on 3/8" air line. We have a crimp kit for 3/16" and 1/4", it has modified vice grips for the tool. I'm not incredibly confident with the tool. I'd prefer something hydraulic.

I'll see what kind of crimper/ crimps we have at the shop. The crimper is like a long press and it locks down hard. Works well. I know we got it from Myers tire supply but I don't think they sell to the public

This looks like a good one - I have not used it, but have several other Milton tools that are very good - especially for the price.

I usually just come here to read and look at hot rod projects but occasionally I try to make a contribution.
When I was young I worked for a service station supply and maintenance company. We made air hoses right off a roll we carried on the truck. We used a simple tool that you smack with a BFH. It can be used in a vice also.

Battery cable crimpers work on air hoses also------

That was my thoughts also, why can't a cable crimped do double duty? I pulled the trigger on a hydraulic electrical crimper (metric) with ten dies. They are hexagonal crimps, and if it won't work out for the air hoses, at least I'll have a quality crimper for large lugs.

I recently had a bubble forming on my air hose at the crimped end of the hose. I took a Push-lock gas line fitting with a AN on one end and pipe thread on the other and put everything back together. Those push locks really bite in the hose and there are no leaks and it's back together.

My hydraulic electrical crimper came in. It does a fair job on the crimp. Because the dies are so narrow, I have to make two crimps to accommodate the length of the ferrules.

Now I a. Going through the plant fixing air lines and getting the worm gear clamps off the hose ends.
