Anyone ever put an Emergency brake in a vehicle that doesn't have one?

I own this Studebaker M5 pickup that was raced on the drag strip and it does not have an emergency brake or any part of the system installed. This truck has a T350 automatic trans.

    Anyone ever put one back?

What's the rearend? Do you know?
If it's 9 inch Ford with drum brakes you can get the complete setup quick and easy...
If it's "something else" you can still get most of the parts or you can go with parts from SSC or Wilwood, But first you'll have to know what you've got to start with.

You might consider a drive shaft mounted emergency brake if you have compatibility issues with your rear drums. Just throwing that out there as a last resort option. Nice truck!

Ford 9 inch narrowed rear end with coil over shocks and 4 link installed. Strange Engineering axles.

In the picture you posted at your other thread the kit seems to show the calipers do have provisions for emergency brakes, is this not the kit you posted and have?

I have not bought the kit yet but that is the one I am thinking about using. That kit uses GM Metric calipers and e brake. On another site I was reading there are problems with these calipers. Anyone here already have them and what is your opinion?
