Looks like you guys in Texas are getting flooded, just wondering if this was in Shine's neighborhood, or any of the other Texas members on here?Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Yeah, our house isn't in any jeopardy, though the ground is just soaked. And it doesn't look like any rain stoppage for the next week at least. Best we can hope for is volume decrease. We're about 3 hours south of shine. Good news is the aquifers are filling up so wells will have plenty to pump.

One of the two access county roads to our area has an old single lane, low bridge crossing a creek. It's been closed for a couple days because it's under water. Yesterday two complete washed down trees were lying across it. Lots of fun...…...Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 10-18-2018 at 06:54 AM. Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

I picked a house on a hill also. In a hundred year flood plain. (Hasn't been a flood in this area for a hundred years). Never will be. My yard gets standing water in the back and sides but that's about it..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
