Please be careful!
Had a friend that thought he could weld a gas tank if it was full an had no air to burn. Him and his garage are gone...
PLEASE BE CAREFUL and use known practices as rspears suggests above. Do not be a pioneer here....

We use MEk in the cabinet shop quite a bit, it will dissolve vinyl, its also known as PVC cleaner. (relabeled) Try lacquer thinner, cheaper and wont evaporate quite as fast either. It really flammable as you have been told and contact with your skin should be avoided, but then again most plumbers have been soaked in the stuff it seems like!Why is mine so big and yours so small, Chrysler FirePower
