*Manual Brakes To Power Brakes*
I'd like to upgrade my manual brakes to power brakes at some point in my 37 Ford pickup. I have a 70ish Chevy rear end with drum brakes and the front are disk. My current master cylinder has a line for brake and one for clutch I believe. What is all involved in getting this set up for power brakes? Looking for the poor mans way to do this with parts from the junk yard.

Please - OH - Please don't use a junkyard Master Cylinder. You won't know the condition unless you are going to rebuild it yourself?
If you have a good parts house nearby, talk with them and /or maybe they'll let you look through some books and a picture might be found... I cannot think of any current vehicle that has the masters for the brake and the clutch combined.
Have you browsed online at Wilwood or MPP, even baer.. or one of the other brake manufacturers?

I know my Dad's 07 Mustang uses the brake master reservoir for the clutch slave cylinder's reservoir. Maybe you can see if the previous body style mustang hydraboost system will work for you? That body style is 94-02 I think. (this is just speculation that you have a mustang MC now though)Ryan

Check out Free Shipping @ Speedway Motors, The Racing and Rodding Specialists they have a bunch for converting, great tech (call them) and really reasonable prices also, if its a common master cylinder they have some conversion brackets to go to power, a new master cylinder and booster can be had for under 200 bucks for a really nice one, pretty cheap compared to the funeral expense that could be the alternative if it doesn't work! Just kidding but have fun but be safe. MattWhy is mine so big and yours so small, Chrysler FirePower

Thanks for all the info guys.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
