Buy it now is more convenient to be sure.
If you're not in a hurry, then waiting for an item to close and "sniping" the bid at the last minute is the way to get a really good deal.
Watch for shipping fees!.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
