Set time useing vacuum guage

How do you set timing useing vacuum guage?

Advance time to draw highest vacuum---then retard until vacuum drops by what amount or percent?

Also set air mixture the same way---adjust mixture screws to highest amount vacuum then adjust to drop vacuum?


check timing with lite to make sure total timing is not above 34 degree?

Easiest way to set timing with a vacuum gauge is to take the car and vacuum gauge to the closest auto shop and hand the vacuum gauge to the mechanic and say "hey mister! will you set my timing if I give you this nice vacuum gauge?" yuk yuk
