Hello everyone I'm new here and just thought I would get some opinions on my engine build and what kind of HP and tourqe numbers yall think I might get I'm installing it in a 70 chevy C10 Pickup with a 700 R4 and 373 posi kinda curious to what my time in the quarter could run also. Ok so it is a 400 sbc 409 cast block bored 30 over with after market cast crank 6 in forge conectting rods trw forged flat top pistons 510 lift roller cam n lifters trick flow 195 heads rpm air gap intake 750 quick flow carburetor running 9.5 to 1 compression.

This would be a torque motor rather than a high hp motor, just right for the street. I can see 500 ft/lbs of torque and maybe 450 hp. A cam with 0.050" duration of 215 to 220 on the intake side would be just right for the 9.5:1 static compression ratio in a 406. More cam than that will lead to a lower dynamic compression ratio and what my late friend would have called a "weak-suck operation".
