    Mildren Power Dome heads.

I was at a mate's place today and he showed me a pair of bronze 21 stud Ford (flat-head) heads.
He had scored the whole motor, it had sat untouched in a shed since the late fifties/early sixties, and was initially destined to be fitted in a race boat.
The whole motor is in 'as new' condition, it had been well protected in a warm, dry, environment.
The heads are cast in two sections, one half sitting directly on to the top of the block, the other half sitting on top of the first. Cast into the (finned) top of the heads are the words: 'Mildren Power Dome."

    But what's he got?

Neither of us have ever heard of them

Well, that's the first time that I didn't get a hit on google. I know nothing about them, even though I consider myself fairly well schooled on flatheads.

The only reference I got was that the Mildren Power Dome was Australian made, but that was an obscure and defunct 2010 Trade Me reference (like our CraigsList in the US). When you find out more about them, tell us the story, jb!

Yes, please do keep us in the loop on this one. Some pictures would be ever so nice, too. I love one off, eclectic, unusual stuff like this.

My mate lives 35 - 40 miles away over the other side of the hill, (Mt. Egmont,) I'm not very often over there, and he can be a bit hard to get hold of too.
But I'll certainly see what can be done with photos, and then will have to get Roger to tell me how to get them out of the camera!
