there was pretty much a change for every year the LT engines were made---so you do need to verify that the year computer and your engine parts are compatable,
as some were mass airflow and some other--then also you will need the body control unit(theft module) with the correct key(modul in key) and resistor that match. then there is a final fuel control gizzomo that may shut off the fuel in the run position(pump will prime with key on, then quits)
A lot of people are rewiring engines to the later era coil packs to get rid of the opti spark and this is an option I would suggest you consider before yu get terribly envolved with an OBD 1 system---------------I personally don't have any issues where I hate the opti but millions on the net do--
