ford t-5 trans to AOD the driveshaft too long now
I swapped from 5 speed stick to AOD. the driveshaft is too long now. Anyone had this happen? I was told the 2 transmissions were the same overall length. What year trans do I have and/or need? The engine is Ford 5.0 H.O. from 1985 mustang.

Is your AOD a long tail shaft? My friend's Dad ran into this and his AOD had a longer tail shaft. I think it was from a van. He just had his drive shaft shortened and balanced and it was good to go.Ryan

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
