Door weather stripping
I just spent 2 days installing doors on my 47 Chevy. I have now found from reading links that I should have put the weather stripping on while the doors are off the vehicle. Has anyone tried to install new weatherstripping on doors that are already installed?
I got the rubber from Chevs-of-the-40s part # 4115526BE

I've only done door trim a couple of times and I can't see any reason the door must be off the vehicle but maybe someone here has other ideas..

I've also put the weather strip on while the doors are on the car... using the 3M 8008 black glue, go slow do small area's at a time and it helps to have two people...You don't know what it is to love a car until you build one.
