Has anyone here ever done business with Timeless Rod and Customs in Lula Ga.?

No personal experience, but if you Google "Timeless Rods and Customs" (plural on "Rods") you'll find links to discussions on two or three other forums with widely mixed experiences offered.

Remember one thing about things said on a forum, it's only one person's opinion. Means no more or less then the next guys!!!! Never have heard of the shop and mixed reviews of their business practices are common for any shop. My only suggestion would be a visit to their shop, look at their work, get their references and talk to them, check with the BBB, make your own decision..... Don't let any shop get into you too deep on up front money, but having had my own shop and been stuck with a couple of projects I do understand why a reasonable deposit and money during the course of a build is essential! But along with that you should expect an accounting of monies spent and reasonable labor done on your car. Then of course, the usual warning of "Let the buyer beware" applies to doing business with any company!

On a $16,200 total for a roller with a bunch of added options I put down $3500 with balance due on delivery. I figured that covered the cost of most of the out of house buy outs, but might have been light on that.

Time for a road trip. Do you have a good friend named Bubba that's too big to ride in anything but a full sized truck or SUV, and then feels cramped that can tag along?

Probably get lied to as so many in the past.

Got a dated contract with delivery date on it?
Demand your roller or your money back.
Make sure that's the local officials are there when the demand is made.

I can't say that I agree with threatening to pull the roller at this point. If you see that there's been no change in status then that's a last resort, but pulling it when it's not complete is going to get you into a huge argument about "value" that could well land you in court, and it will be their local court not yours. How do you establish how much of the remaining 50% is due? Yes, you can demand your money back, but then they can say that they've spent that money on your behalf, in accordance with contract, blah, blah, blah. Sure, they're in violation of the contract, and they've missed their delivery date but unless you can show intent to defraud you're on thin ice legally, having paid 50% down and them saying "It's nearly done...." I'd go visit, and having a trailer hooked to the truck might send a good message, but I'd be on a fact finding mission to make things clear, not "demanding" at this point. Just my $0.02, and others may disagree.

Check with the States laws, some States do not allow more than a 10% deposit (some slightly larger), then contact your attorney for appropriate action advice.

As DA34guy says, once communications stop immediate action is required.

Made a surprise visit to Timeless today, they don't even have a car for me in their shop. They told me they had to send my body back to Bebops to have the door handles put on. Then they took me to another shop where the chassis are being built, they had my chassis there but it looks like maybe a weeks worth of work has been done to it. The guy that builds their chassis has a very nice shop and does very good work. They told me my body was ready to be picked up and they would send someone to get it this week. Then they would only need two more weeks to finish it. I told them I expect a phone call at least once a week. If I don't have a delivery date in two weeks I'm going back up there.
