Can you spray WD-40 in the lock long side the key? Then wiggle the key back N' forth til it comes out? Has it done that before or been hard to pull out before?
Is the key worn?
No its for real ,i will try the wd-40 its never done this before, its a 1969 if that helps and the key is worn. Kat
Yep, worn keys will do that, just wiggle it and juggle it with the WD-40, it should eventully come out, if not you'll have to go to www.classicindustries.com or www.yearone.com to get a new ignition and, someone here could tell you how to replace it. You could fix it up fer the old screwdriver if ya coulden't get the key out, until u got the new ignition in or, maby the old one fixed by a shop that does that kinda thing. I kinda have that problem with my 'benz, you gotta wiggle it b4 it will come out, not that the key does anyting anymore, the battery is dead and the motor don't run:CRY:Quote:

I've rebuilt a bunch of those columns, it's pretty easy if you have all the right tools.
