Help Identifying Spindles

Hi Gang, It's been quite a while since I posted here, hope you will forgive my absence. I have a 53 Studebaker that has a 68 Nova front clip. At some time a previous owner installed dropped spindles on it. I have discovered that they were not the correct spindles for the rear steer Nova suspension, but actually spindles from a front steer suspension and had been installed backwards, ie the right spindle on the left side and the left spindle on the right so the tie rods could be connected. This actually worked, but not as it should because the tie rods and lower control arm were not parallel resulting in bump steer, poor alignment and tire wear issues. I finally figured that out and have installed correct spindles. Now I am trying to figure out exactly what these spindles do fit so I can offer them for sale. My initial thought is for a second generation Camaro (70-78) but they don't look quite the same as images I have found. Here are some pictures

There is a casting that appears to be ST, thinking that may be a manufacturer I have Googled "ST spindles" with no luck. The casting directly below the spindles is E37L; L for left, and E37R, R for right. The is another number cast on the steering arm 050594, same on both.

streetrends ??? i seen that logo just not sure were .... i do not think it,s global west

Roger what you found is exactly correct. I was able to get in touch with the original builder of my car. He got those spindles from Fatman 12 or 13 years ago, apparently before they had proper dropped spindles for Novas and Camaros. So they took dropped spindles for S-10 trucks and G series GM cars, which are metric, and reamed the ball joint and tie rod holes to the proper size, then swapped side for side to use them. Clearly they had not figured out the tie rod and A arm relationship.

So what I have now are a couple door stops or maybe wheel chocks. They will no longer fit the original vehicles because of the reaming, and they don't work properly on a Nova or Camaro, unless you are satisfied with limited driving. At least I do have good pairs of rotors and calipers that I may be able to sell to someone who needs them.

OK, I could not post for a while, but Brent has fixed it. Roger you are exactly right. I got in touch with the original builder and he told me he got the spindles from Fatman 12-13 years ago. Apparently their solution for dropped spindles for 68-72 Novas was to take dropped spindles for the metric S-10 or G-Series GM cars and ream out the ball joint and tie rod holes so they would fit the SAE measurements. Clearly they had not worked out the lower control arm and tie rod relationships. So what I have now are suitable for door stops or maybe wheel chocks. They wont work on the S-10s because the holes are reamed and they wont work properly on a Nova or Camaro. At least I do have some good S-10 or G Series rotors and calipers that someone will be able to use.
