I'm going to harken back about 30 years or so in my auto infatuation. One of the best all around cars I ever had for room and fantastic road manners were Hudson Hornets, '51-3 (didn't care for the styling of the back of the '54). There were other models of Hudsons in those years that had nearly identical styling though the Super Six/Pacemakers/Commodores had smaller six cylinder engines, and some Commodores had a straight 8 (all flatheads), the Hornet was the best. Especially with the 3 speed stick with overdrive (the automatics were a GM Hydramatic which was good, but the overdrive really made the highway drive a dream). Built like a tank (great for safety for the kids), and spacious/luxurious. It would be hard to beat for family use.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
