    well what i saw was that someone has welded on the old pick up tube ,, i am hoping that when it got hot it lost suction ,, so i am going back with stock oil pan and stock oil pick up tube ,, press in , do i need to use lock tight or silicon or anything whenn pressing it in ??? i know that the pick up need to be 1/4 off the bottom

    Go back and read my posts and Pat's posts. Nowhere did either of us say 1/4". Both of us said 3/8" to 1/2". Don't start making stuff up. With a thin pan, the bottom of the pan can suck up against the pickup and shut off supply to the pump. 3/8" to 1/2".

    sorry about that will under stood now 3/8 to 1/2 got it ... now they did weld the tube to the pump and welded the tube together it had a couple dog legs in it ,, the pic would show it ,,,, i guess we agree on 40 weight for summer and maybe 10w 40 for winter,, i did get a wix filter ,,
