The link wouldn't work for me, but I found it online. I immediately checked my steering column, and it's as tight as a new boot. Made in the USA.
The link didn't work for me. What search did you use to find it online?
I've got a Borgeson, so I'm not overly worried.. (yet!) LOL...
Here's an active link to the InfoSheet that jb was posting - seems it got truncated somehow: http://lvvta.org.nz/documents/infosh...ng_Columns.pdf
This is a very thorough analysis of steering columns, based on failures of some cheap knock offs. The article lists the major US OEM's Flaming River, Ididit, Billet Specialties and Limeworks are OK, accepted at face value, but that Borgeson's have no internal or external ID so they are treated as Unknown's - they're OK, but one cannot know it's a Borgeson by looking. A good article, IMO. Thanks jb!
Thanks Again RSpears!!
Thanks Roger.
I tried to edit my initial post and correct the link to the article...but nah; it still wouldn't work.
So thanks for posting up a link that does work!
This could, quite literally, cost or save lives.
I put this link up a couple of weeks back, johnboy,,the link to NZHRM article about it..It's snoozing down the list in Hotrod Talk there,somewhere..
