Just finished dropping the tank and filtered the fuel through a screen when draining it. Lots of fine silt (looks like river sand) in the tank. And the pickup sock was seperating and crumbled in my hand. No place has a sock that will work so left it off and put in a inline filter outside the tank. Traveler runs great now. Just need to change out the filter perodically until all the silt is cleared out.
And no rust flaking in the tank still looks clean. Guess last time I had it out must have gotten alot of sand in the tank after I cleaned it and before I installed it,
Only problem is I will be tasting and burping gas for the next few days. I hate having to use a garden hose to siphon the tank lol
Thanks for all the help

Not the perfect solution but one you can deal with I'm sure! Glad you figured it out!!

Yeah, Figure I will run it this way for about 2-3 tanks to make sure the silt is all out and then I will drop the tank again and put a sock back on once I can find a place that has them for fairly cheap. The Lightline dealers want 15+shipping for them. Which will probably put it at around 25, too much for my cheap butt.
