Engine Swap ?
I Have a 1983 Chevy G10 Van 110" WB ... Originally & Still a 4.1/250 inline six engine ... How Difficult Would it Be To Swap in a 4.8/292 ? 250's Are Getting Increasingly Hard To Find ... Will My Bolt On Accessories Be a Direct Swap ? Power Steering Pump & Alternator Brackets ??? Any Help Regarding This Possible Swap Would Be Greatly Appreciated :)

If your talking about a LSx engine that could get real expensive.

Biggest problem is the 292 has the passenger side mount moved forward, other than that it should bolt right in. I don't know if your van has the holes in the frame to just move the mount ahead, the pickups do.

The 194/230/250/292 are the third generation I6 engines and I believe that you'll find all of the accessory brackets will swap over, or if not there are after market brackets avaialble. Like R Pope says, the biggest difference with the 292 is that the passenger side mount shifts forward one hole on the frame. The 292's were used through 1990 so I expect your frame is drilled for both the 250 and 292. Should be an easy swap.
