Has anyone converted to R & P steering on their late 60's early 70's Mustang, Fairlane, Maverick or Ranchero? If so, did you use a kit or do it yourself? Just something I'm pondering for my '68 Ranchero.

Mine will be when it's done, will get you some pics later when it is together. I am using Heidt's A-Arms, coil-overs, and a T-Bird rack on my '67 Ranchero.
I guess my question should be....Why couldn't I simply remove the steering gear, mount a rack on the x-member and use the rest of the stock steering/suspension? I can't/won't go to the expense/trouble of going the typical complete front swap-out/kit route. Would this not work????
