I use a similar product, the generic name for the product is Liquid Jewelers Rouge. I agree the texture is deceiving, have touted the stuff for years. Some are stuck on meguriers & mothers that's ok by me for sure.

It will do a great job on stainless also, Speedway sold the stuff for years & just dropped it recently. You are right that's absolutely the cats meow for polishing metal.
