I got to spend some time in the C.T. pits when they came through Joliet last summer. They treated me like one of the crew & kept me well fed & hydrated all day. One of the crew VIC Miller (who couldn't be there today) is a friend of mine. I got to crew for him a couple years ago when he was running the Venny's Vega nostalgia injected alcohol funny car. Sure was cool to see them win.

We talkin' alcohol floppers?? What Division does Thompson run out of, don't believe I've ran across the name before??????

Yup, they won in Texas today. They are in the northwest division, VIC is from White Salmon. WA

Bob Minor was just coming into his own with Alky engines about the time we were getting out of it, heard nothing but good about his stuff!!!!! Hard to believe the alky floppers are going 5.60's!!!! I guess you know you're old if you remember when a 5.90 in an Alky digger would land you the top spot in qualifying!!!!!!:CRY::CRY::CRY::LOL:
