Yeah, you're right that it could be the speedometer that's running slow vs the tach being high. Duh! I didn't even consider that side, and checking it with the GPS is a great idea. I do that all the time in the Jeep, checking the "real" speed.

Just wanted to give you an update. I did go cruising yesterday and brought the gps with me and I can say my speedometer is really quite accurate! But I gave the rpm's wrong as it's really at 2400 rpm. Analog gauges aren't very specific are they??

almost forgot to add, I had my first OH S _ _ T! while cruising yesterday too. Some old guy shoots out of his driveway and turns into my lane in front of me. Good thing my brakes work well!!!
