    I forgot to rant about Accel plug wires. Should I do that in this thread?

    You can, but for the most part, you are preaching to the choir. There may be some good Accel products left, but for a buck or two more you can get Taylor, MSD, Moroso and several others.

    Now, to the OP question - even Chebbies don't need to have a rats nest of wires - use some decent looms, 90* cap boots and start out with a universal set and make them up yourself. This is not a Chebbie, but these Ford engines can be a rats nest as well if you use the pre made - fitzemall wires:
