Too much. I just went through the same thing with my 350 motor. It came with a DP 750 Holley, and it kept flooding out, and hard to start after it was
warm. I put a 600 cfm Edelbrock on my Edelbrock SP manifold, and it runs
like a watch - perfect. I'm glad I downgraded the carb
